Swish Swish – Top 10 Satin Slip Skirts perfect for all Seasons

Swish Swish – Top 10 Satin Slip Skirts perfect for all Seasons

I have been looking for the perfect slip dress for quite a while now, and I’ve failed.  Everything I tried on was either far too clingy or too loose and just did not work for me. The plan was to wear it during summer months with a t-shirt underneath and a chunky knit over the top for winter months.

I had almost given up until I came across the satin slip skirt.  Whilst this is not a dress it still behaves in a similar fashion to the slip dress and the fitting and colours worked much better for me.

I tried on a few and my favourite in terms of fit was the & Other Stories one followed by the Zara one, both of which I purchased.

Topshop offer fabulous colour range and keep coming out with new colours but for me the fit just felt wrong and for the price I preferred the Zara option better.

So here are a few of my favourites for those of you that love colour.

For those preferring to stick to darker colours there are some gorgeous options put there. I love the fact that black or navy can work for the office, evening and daytime casual and all year round.

I have already worn the two skirts I bought quite a lot, both of them are proving to be quite versatile items in my wardrobe.  Dressed up with heels, blazers and nice jumpers or tops make for great evening or occasion wear.  Dressed down with trainers/biker boots (go see my top 10 for boots), hoodies and knits make for a more casual every day look.

Whatever your thoughts let me know, and if you do try this look please share with my via Instagram as I’d love to see how you’ve styled yours.

Love Chet x
