I’ll start by saying I love this spice. It is a fragrant spice that has an earthy taste. It can be used whole or ground, toasted or raw. It’s a well used spice in my spice box. This spice smells amazing when tempered in oil (but burns quickly so keep an eye on it when tempering) and adds a really subtle flavour to most dishes. It’s also worth knowing that this is a really flexible spice and can be used across many food groups.
